Cold Mix is a pre-coated bituminous patching material made with specialised bitumen emulsion or cutback binder, designed to remain workable in bags or drums for several months and to compact cold directly into the pothole or patch.
It is the standard solution for routine pothole maintenance, utility-trench reinstatement and rural road repair — particularly in remote areas where running a hot-mix plant is impractical, or during monsoon when conventional hot mix cannot be laid.
Cold Mix can be applied year-round, opens to traffic almost immediately after compaction, and dramatically reduces both cost and carbon footprint compared with hot-mix patching.
