Bitumen Emulsion
Cold-applied cationic emulsion for tack coats, prime coats and surface dressings.
Engineered for performance, dispatched with confidence.
Our cationic bitumen emulsions are produced by dispersing bitumen into water with an emulsifier, yielding a liquid binder that can be applied cold — without heating either the binder or the aggregate.
We manufacture the complete IS:8887 family of cationic emulsions: Rapid Setting (RS-1, RS-2) for surface dressing and tack coats, Medium Setting (MS) for premix carpets and patch repair, and Slow Setting (SS-1, SS-2) for fog seals, slurry seals and soil stabilisation.
Emulsions dramatically lower energy and emissions versus hot bitumen, enable monsoon-season application on damp surfaces, and offer superior bonding for thin overlays and maintenance work.
